The physicians and staff of IHA Pediatric Healthcare - Arbor Park are pleased that you have selected our practice. We are committed to providing your child with the highest quality pediatric care and giving your family the best possible service.
We provide important health maintenance services for children of all ages and take care of infant, childhood and adolescent illnesses. Health maintenance visits include regular physical exams, immunizations, and the monitoring of growth and development. We also review your child's school performance, psycho-social development, and the well being of your family. Our practice promotes regular check-ups and prompt treatment of illnesses to prevent health problems in accordance with the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics (www.AAP.org).
Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNP's) are an integral part of our practice. They perform health maintenance examinations, visit newborns at the hospital, and provide limited, supervised care for minor illnesses. A PNP has extended specialized post-graduate education and is highly trained to examine children and counsel parents on growth and development. If the PNP detects anything unusual, she will have one of the physicians examine your child with her.
If you are entering the practice as the parents of a newborn, your first encounter with your physician and PNP will be in the hospital. The physician will review the hospital records and do the initial exam on your newborn. Both the physician and the PNP will visit you and your baby during your hospital stay.
Your child’s medical record is in our secure Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The EMR allows us to review your child’s record from anywhere and it can be seen by physicians in our After Hours Office as well as by IHA specialists. We encourage you to enroll in NEXTMD, a secure patient portal that will allow you to request referrals, prescription refills and appointments and it allows us to communicate various results from office visits to you.
PHA/IHA involvement with Reach Out and Read: Reach Out and Read has launched a new website and is a point of interest for parents.
IHA Pediatric Healthcare - Arbor Park is now offering a unique series of six visits for children who are overweight. Please call the office if you would like to take part in this family-oriented approach for overweight children.
IHA After Hours Care offers extended hours seven days a week and has two convenient locations in Ann Arbor and Brighton.
